重金屬挑戰賽2012 – Snap Shots

終於在2012年5月26日參加了平生第一個跑步比賽 - 重金屬挑戰賽2012。  跑手要跑5.6km，比賽前要先估計自己完成的時間、比賽中不准戴錶。  玩法兩個：鬥快與鬥準。  原本，自己估計是24mins 20secs。  結果，自己非常滿意：5.6km @ 24mins 2secs，是14km/h (即10km約42mins 51secs) 的步速。  就速度而言，排第9；就鬥準而言，排第7。  感謝重金屬！

Taiwan Trip 2011 - Snap Shots @台灣太魯閣錐麓古道 (Taroko Jhuilu Old Trail)

香港Twin Peaks的行山比賽，末段是要經過昂平360的良好棧道。 台灣Twin Mountains的登山歷程，中段則要闖過太魯閣筆直懸崖上的崎嶇古道！

日前，香港有一個Twin Peaks的行山比賽。 Twin Peaks指香港鳳凰山(934m)及大東山(869m) ，她們已經是香港第二及第三高的山峰了！ 在Taiwan Trip 2011中，自編自導自演了 Twin Mountains的登山歷程。 Twin Mountains當然是指台灣玉山主峰(3952m)及雪山主峰(3883m) ！ Twin Peaks比賽中，當然可以在良好的昂平360棧道上奔跑，可你絕不能在太魯閣筆直懸崖上的錐麓古道上逞強，因為下臨無崖，稍一失足，將永墮深淵之中。

台灣友善的trekkers見我這個來自異地的旅人竟敢一人獨走於陽光、山霧、陣雨及深山之中，驚問我的勇氣從那裡而來？！ “還好吧！”我輕描微笑答道。時間與天氣不容許我細心分享： “我的勇氣其實來自對天主及聖母的信仰、是出於對大地的信任，是源自探索世界的熱誠！” 還有，懸崖之上，there is simply no alternative way out！ 路，就只得一條，就只好闖過去好了！

能有幸一再完成壯舉，正如11年前開始於in all those traveling years間在世界各地所成就的，我只能感謝、感謝，再感謝！ 因為，又其實，Twin Mountains之險，又何止台灣第一及第二高山與錐麓古道呢….

我回家了！感謝各位的關心！

台灣第二高峰雪山主峰(3886m) 之3天2夜之中，一個人、一份信仰、一種信念、一套Mont-bell、Deuter及Leki的登山裝備，承受著高海拔、冷雨、狂風、山霧與陽光於幾近30小時中從未遇見一人的峭陡原始山徑向巨山進發！ 我，還要在2700m上高空的無人山屋過了一夜，伴睡的就只有尊貴可愛的聖母聖像、輕盈保暖的Mont-bell睡袋，以及大自然的各種聲音！ 謹將2011年10月4日上午9時45分(台灣時間) 有理由相信是當天台灣最高海拔的可樂獻給天主及聖母、台灣、諸位巨山美人，以及在台灣所遇到的好人、靚女，美事！

我感恩，能於意想不到的晴朗天空下親手觸及那雪山上經典的石牌，並親眼目賭這寶島壯觀的天地！ 我更感激，又再一次平安的走過死亡蔭谷，從可敬可畏的頂峰重回腳踏實地的平原。

Enjoyed the photos taking with the primary school students outside the Museo De La Nacion Lima! Enjoyed the visiting of Huaca Huallamarca which I have never seen anything similar to that before!

Enjoyed the Plaza de Armas in Cusco ….

But absolutely NOT ENJOYED the 1st day in Cusco , a sudden climb of more than 3000m high made me headache.. so be careful when you go there.

12hrs Flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam + 6hrs Flight Transit at Amsterdam + 12hrs Flight from Amsterdam to Lima = 30 hrs Flight from Hong Kong to Lima.  Don’t underestimate the effect of the 30hrs flight, both physically and psychologically…. And YES! You need to do this TWICE!!
